Who is StageWorks?

Founded in 2004, StageWorks is Springfield, Ohio's newest non-profit theatre company. Starting in the summer of 2004 at Veteran's Park Amphitheater, we have held performances at the Bushnell Building, the Westcott House and now, thanks to James and Nike Lagos, performances take place in the new home of StageWorks, downtown Springfield's historic State Theatre at 19 S. Fountain Ave.

Productions ranging from the works of William Shakespeare to the avant garde works of Samuel Beckett have set StageWorks apart as the alternative theatre group in the Springfield community.

Auditions are always open to the public and all local theatre enthusiasts are invited to audition or get involved in the many other aspects of theatrical production - lighting, set construction, costuming, etc.  We also recognize that not everyone has the time to contribute and we will always graciously accept your generous, tax-deductible donations, as well as provide advertising opportunities with each and every production.  There are so many ways to be a part of this fantastic, creative endeavor and we invite you to join us in celebrating theatrical performance art!

As to our prospective patrons, please be advised that all tickets are available at The State, one hour prior to each performance, on a first come/first served basis. StageWorks is proud to offer our patrons a nicely stocked concession stand with popcorn, soft drinks and other snacks that will be open prior to each production as well as intermission.

Each production runs Thursday-Saturday with an 8pm curtain, unless otherwise specified.  Please be sure to check dates and times for each production before making plans.  Cost of admission is $10, unless otherwise specified.  Accepted forms of payment are cash or checks only, though we may accept credit/debit cards in the future.

Welcome to StageWorks!
