General Audition Information

All auditions will take place at The State Theatre in Downtown Springfield unless otherwise specified.

It is wise to always have a few monologues in your memory bank, but most auditions will only require cold readings from the script.

StageWorks holds open auditions. This means you will audition in front of your peers, rather than behind closed doors.

Always be courteous to your fellow actors. Talking in the house can be very distracting to them as well as the casting director. Please take any conversations out of the house and into the lobby and be sure your cell phone ringer is off.
- REMEMBER: Every director is different. Please pay attention to the provided information that is specific to the production for which you are auditioning.
